Seamus Coleman, the Republic of Ireland and Everton Football Club defender, suffered a horrific injury during a World Cup qualifying match against Wales on March 24th, 2017. During the match, Coleman collided with Wales player Neil Taylor, who was given a red card for the challenge. Coleman suffered a double fracture to his right leg, with the injury requiring surgery.
